Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya recently convened a meeting with consul generals and honorary consultants from various countries residing in Bali to address tourism-related security concerns. The main focus of the discussion was the safety of foreign tourists as well as local residents in Bali.

During the meeting, Chief Adityajaya emphasized the Bali Police’s commitment to ensuring a safe and stable environment for both tourists and the local community. He urged the attendees to relay the importance of adhering to local laws and respecting cultural traditions to their citizens planning to visit the island.

Highlighting the significance of security for the tourism sector, Adityajaya stated that a stable security situation is vital for promoting Bali as a desirable travel destination, known for its cultural richness and natural beauty. He warned that the police will not tolerate any violations that could jeopardize the safety of residents or tourists, specifically mentioning that most crimes occur during the night.

The Chief also called on consultants to encourage their citizens to remain vigilant while engaging in nighttime activities and to enhance communication with them about legal matters involving foreigners. This is crucial for ensuring prompt and effective responses to any incidents that occur.

Adityajaya expressed hopes that the meeting would foster closer collaboration between the Bali Police force and the diplomatic community, aiming to preemptively tackle potential security issues and improve coordination in crisis situations.

This proactive approach by the Bali Police aligns with ongoing efforts to boost sustainable tourism on the island, ensuring that it remains a safe and welcoming destination for visitors from all over the world.

In essence, this initiative not only promotes safety for tourists but also helps reinforce the relationship between local authorities and the international community, potentially leading to a safer and more enjoyable experience for all.
