The 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards took place on Sunday, February 16, highlighted by an evening of celebration at The Royal Festival Hall in London. Hosted by David Tennant, the event was broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer, recognizing the outstanding achievements in film over the past year.

Notably, the film “Conclave” triumphed, securing four prestigious awards, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film, as well as honors for Adapted Screenplay and Editing. Another major winner of the night, “The Brutalist,” also took home four BAFTAs, including accolades for Director Brady Corbet and Leading Actor Adrien Brody.

In the acting categories, Mikey Madison was awarded Leading Actress for her role in “Anora,” while Kieran Culkin claimed Supporting Actor for his performance in “A Real Pain.” Zoe Saldaña received the Supporting Actress award for her role in “Emilia Pérez.”

The event also marked several first-time wins, including those for Adrien Brody, Mikey Madison, Zoe Saldaña, and Kieran Culkin, showcasing a refreshing diversity of talent in the industry. Meanwhile, director Brady Corbet celebrated his inaugural nomination and win at the BAFTAs.

Other noteworthy recipients included Kneecap, recognized with the Outstanding Debut award, and Warwick Davis, who received the BAFTA Fellowship for his significant contributions to the film industry and his advocacy for individuals with dwarfism. The Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award was presented to MediCinema, which promotes film accessibility for those in healthcare settings.

David Jonsson garnered the EE Rising Star Award, voted for by the public, demonstrating the audience’s appreciation for emerging talent. Musical performances during the ceremony featured Take That, who performed ‘Greatest Day’ from “Anora,” while Jeff Goldblum delivered a poignant piano tribute in the In Memoriam segment.
