The Backstreet Boys are set to usher in the New Year with a spectacular performance at the Sphere in Las Vegas, presenting their “Into the Millennium” residency show to a crowd of 20,000 fans. This highly anticipated event offers a unique concert experience with songs synchronized to a captivating custom video projected on the venue’s expansive screens.

In a recent interview, member AJ McLean shared that the show will begin at 10:30 PM, ensuring the band is on stage right as the clock strikes midnight. McLean revealed plans are underway to create a memorable countdown experience, joking about the possibility of a makeshift New Year’s ball drop using a disco ball and fishing line, should their elaborate ideas not come to fruition.

Regardless of how the midnight celebration unfolds, McLean expressed his excitement about performing for such a large audience in a venue known for its immersive atmosphere. “It’s gonna be really cool to bring in the new year with 20,000 people at the coolest venue that there is,” he stated.

The Backstreet Boys’ residency, which commenced in August, has been extended through February 15. In addition to the Las Vegas shows, AJ McLean is gearing up for the release of his solo album, “Hi, My Name Is Alexander James,” set to drop on January 9, coinciding with his birthday. Following their Las Vegas performances, the group will also begin a residency in Dusseldorf, Germany, in September, expanding their reach to international fans.

This New Year’s Eve promises to be an unforgettable night for both the band and their fans, highlighting the Backstreet Boys’ enduring appeal and ability to create memorable experiences even as they step into a new chapter of their career.
