Bachelor Nation Races NYC Marathon for Change

Three familiar faces from the “Bachelor” franchise will be participating in the TCS New York City Marathon this Sunday, swapping romantic pursuits for running shoes. Joe Amabile, Joey Graziadei, and Zac Clark turned heads in Central Park while chatting with fans and media ahead of the eagerly anticipated race.

Amabile, 39, a seasoned marathon participant, humorously commented on the challenges of dating on television compared to the physical demands of a 26.2-mile run, stating, “It’s not even close.” He shared his enthusiasm, particularly since the marathon offers a less nerve-wracking experience compared to reality TV. His journey into running began thanks to Clark, who inspired him during a chance encounter along the West Side Highway.

Clark, now 41, has a significant marathon history under his belt, participating in his 11th NYC marathon and a total of 17 marathons overall. He emphasized the personal significance of the race, especially given his past struggles with addiction, highlighting how running has transformed his life. Clark will be racing to support Release Recover, the nonprofit he founded, which aims to raise $1 million for behavioral health care with the help of 115 runners.

Meanwhile, Graziadei, 30, is gearing up for his very first marathon as part of a personal challenge he set for himself before turning 30. Engaged to Kelsey Anderson, whom he met on “The Bachelor,” he is one of the newer faces in marathon running and previously triumphed on “Dancing with the Stars.” However, he humorously noted that dance skills do not directly translate to endurance running.

When it comes to support, Clark hinted that the entire city will be cheering on participants, capturing the spirit of community that the marathon event fosters. “It’s the one day of the year where this city is just united,” he remarked, emphasizing the collective energy that envelopes the streets of New York during the marathon.

As these reality stars lace up their running shoes, they not only chase personal goals but also inspire many by demonstrating resilience, transformation, and the power of community.
