Avril Lavigne Birthday Bash With Billy Idol, Joins Joan Jett, and Debuts Complicated Pinot Noir for Charity

Avril Lavigne recently marked her birthday in Los Angeles with a special performance alongside Billy Idol. The event was particularly significant as it was the first time Avril met Joan Jett, despite having previously covered Joan’s classic track “Bad Reputation” on her Damn Thing Tour and including it as a bonus on her album, “Goodbye Lullaby.” The collaboration with Billy Idol saw them perform their duet “77,” which has garnered attention since its release earlier this year.

Backstage, Billy Idol surprised Avril with a birthday cake, celebrating her birthday ahead of her September 27th birth date. Just last week, Avril made headlines by launching her first wine, Complicated, a limited-edition Pinot Noir created with Banshee Wines. The wine, a tribute to her breakout single “Complicated,” was crafted to reflect Avril’s blend of confidence and creativity. It will retail for $30 on the Banshee website and be available for tasting at their tasting room while supplies last.

In keeping with her pioneering spirit, Avril’s collaboration with Banshee Wines also supports a charitable cause. Banshee is donating $10,000 to songwriting camps for She Is The Music, an organization focused on increasing opportunities for women in the industry. This initiative offers fans a unique way to contribute to a cause close to Avril and Banshee’s vision, combining advocacy with artistry.

Avril Lavigne’s continued influence in the music world is evident through her artistry, collaborations, and commitment to meaningful causes, further solidifying her legacy as a dynamic force in the industry.
