The healthcare supply chain in Fiji has received a crucial enhancement thanks to a generous donation of $143,000 from the Australia Fiji Health Program, organized through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). This funding is directed to the Fiji Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services and will provide essential equipment, including a forklift, laptops, trolleys, and 14,000 saline IV solutions. These resources are intended to boost operational efficiency and ultimately improve patient care.
Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Luisa Cikamatana emphasized the significance of this donation, noting that the new equipment will streamline warehouse operations, improve order fulfillment, and support the digitization of procurement systems.
