The ATX TV Festival is shaping up to be an exciting event for television enthusiasts, as the lineup for Season 14 continues to expand. Announced on Friday, the festival will host discussions featuring the upcoming shows Duster and The Gilded Age, along with a special look at the writers’ room of the popular series Shrinking.
Notably, the festival has confirmed the participation of Brett Goldstein and Zach Braff for the “Bill Lawrence & Friends” panel, while John Slattery will join the “Mad Men Revisited” session, moderated by acclaimed writer Noah Hawley.
HBO and Max are enhancing their involvement by bringing the cast of Duster, which will showcase an advance screening of a new episode followed by a Q&A with producer/writer LaToya Morgan and stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, and Asivak Koostachin. Duster, set against the backdrop of the 1970s Southwest, focuses on a daring getaway driver embroiled in a burgeoning crime syndicate, as he faces a determined federal agent seeking to dismantle his crime family. The show is set to premiere on May 15 on Max.
Additionally, The Gilded Age will feature actors Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski—who is receiving the TV Excellence Award—and Morgan Spector, discussing the series’ previous seasons while providing a sneak peek into Season 3, slated for release this June on HBO and Max.
The festival will also welcome the writers of Shrinking, including Rachna Fruchbom and others, who will share insights into their creative process for the Apple TV+ hit series.
This year’s festival promises a range of previously announced programming, including a marquee conversation with Seth Meyers, discussions featuring Tony Gilroy and Beau Willimon from Andor, a reunion of The Leftovers, a celebration of UNReal’s tenth anniversary, and a retrospective featuring Jon Hamm from Mad Men.
Tickets for the festival’s Closing Night, which includes the “Bill Lawrence & Friends” discussion, are available in limited quantities, reflecting the high anticipation surrounding this year’s event.
With a rich variety of panels and discussions, the ATX TV Festival is not just a celebration of television but also a unique opportunity for fans to engage with their favorite creators and stars in person. The festival runs from May 29 to June 1 in Austin, Texas, promising a delightful experience for all attendees.
