Astros Announce Exciting New Era with Daikin Park Opening in 2025!

The Houston Astros have officially announced a 15-year naming rights deal with Daikin Comfort Technologies, signaling a transition that will see their home stadium renamed Daikin Park starting January 1, 2025. The agreement comes as the Astros prepare to remove Minute Maid Park signage over the next few weeks in anticipation of the new branding.

Owner Jim Crane expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Daikin’s alignment with the Astros’ commitment to excellence. He noted, “We’ve had the honor and the privilege to spend a lot of time with the Daikin team at all levels and get more excited about the partnership in each and every engagement we have with them.”

Daikin, known for its heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, employs over 98,000 people globally and has a substantial presence in Texas, with a 4.2 million square foot campus in Waller, about 45 minutes from downtown Houston. Daikin president and CEO Satoru Akama praised the partnership, recognizing the combined commitment to quality and community leadership shared between the two organizations.

The agreement is expected to support further enhancements to stadium amenities while also fostering community initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the Astros, Daikin, and Houston. Matt Brand, the Astros’ senior vice president of corporate partnerships, emphasized the strategic fit of Daikin as a naming rights partner and how their values align seamlessly with those of the team.

While Minute Maid will maintain its partnership with the Astros until 2029, signage will be updated by January 1, with the Astros set to debut Daikin Park when they open the 2025 season against the Mets on March 27.

This new partnership reflects a positive future for both the Astros and Daikin, as they collaborate to enhance the fan experience and contribute to community development in Houston.

Summary: The Houston Astros have signed a 15-year naming rights deal with Daikin, renaming their stadium Daikin Park starting January 1, 2025. Both organizations emphasize their shared values of excellence and community engagement as they plan for future enhancements and partnerships.
