Ashley Iaconetti defended a practical parenting choice over the weekend after sharing how she kept tabs on her two young sons during a solo outing to the Boston Aquarium. The Reality TV star and mother of two posted on her Instagram Stories that while her husband, Jared Haibon, visited a friend in a Boston hospital on Saturday, April 4, she took advantage of the time to take their boys out for the day — and took visible precautions to keep them safe.

Iaconetti, 38, who married fellow Bachelor Nation alum Haibon in 2019, said she put 20‑month‑old Hayden on a toddler leash tethered to her wrist and slipped an Apple AirTag into the belongings of their older son, Dawson, 4, so she could track him on her phone if needed. “I have no shame in my leash game,” she wrote, adding the hashtag “Safety Over Shame.” In an accompanying Instagram clip she admitted attempting the aquarium trip alone was a challenge, quipping, “I do not recommend doing this,” with a laughing emoji.

After the aquarium, Iaconetti also posted that she took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese, calling it a “pro tip” for parents. She highlighted the family’s silver membership — $12 a month, she said — which she described as giving unlimited game play and making the venue easier to manage with small children because “everything is monitored and it’s small enough to keep your eyes on your kids.”

The social media posts come as Iaconetti steps back into a more public role on Bravo. She is among the cast members of the network’s new The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which premiered recently and airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo with episodes streaming on Peacock the following day. Haibon publicly backed his wife’s decision to join the show in an Instagram tribute on April 2, praising her as “hardworking, beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, a supportive wife and the most loving mother any child can ask for,” and predicting she would “fit right in” with the Housewives franchise.

Iaconetti and Haibon relocated to Rhode Island after their wedding and have navigated the realities of parenting two young children while juggling media commitments. Her recent posts underline the practical decisions many parents make when managing outings with multiple young kids, and she framed those choices as prioritizing safety over perceived stigma. The posts did not elaborate on any backlash, but Iaconetti’s “no shame” line directly addresses the simmering public debate over child leashes and modern tracking devices — topics that often draw strong opinions on both safety and autonomy.

As she balances motherhood and a higher profile on RHORI, Iaconetti continues to share everyday parenting moments with fans, from small family trips to candid reflections about raising two children. Her social updates this week highlight how she’s managing those responsibilities in real time while promoting her new role on reality television.
