Ashley Biden, the 43-year-old daughter of President Biden, made a rare public appearance to introduce her father at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday night. It was a significant moment as he delivered one of his final addresses as president.

As a social worker in Philadelphia, Ashley Biden portrayed her father not just as a prominent political figure but also as a supportive parent. She shared how he inspired her with the message that she could achieve anything she set her mind to, emphasizing his profound respect for women, including his mother and sister.

She recounted personal memories, including how her father made a special effort to be with her on her eighth birthday by traveling home from Washington, D.C. on the Amtrak train to celebrate with her. She also reminisced about her wedding reception held in her parents’ backyard while her father was vice president, recalling that he was more emotional than she was on that day.

Ashley Biden reflected on the impact of grief in their family, particularly following the death of her brother Beau from brain cancer in 2015. She noted how their father managed to support them through their shared pain and affirmed that Beau was present with them in spirit during the event.

In a passionate appeal to the crowd, Ashley Biden urged attendees to intensify their efforts for the upcoming election, emphasizing the significance of their collective mission. After her emotional speech, President Biden showed his pride and admiration for her, calling her “incredible.”

Ashley was also seen supporting her brother Hunter during his recent trial concerning federal gun charges earlier this year in Wilmington, Delaware. Hunter, who was convicted in June, joined their father and his children at the end of the president’s speech.
