The Aruba Tourism Authority recently celebrated its loyal visitors by honoring distinguished guests who have made significant contributions to the island’s tourism through their consecutive yearly visits. The esteemed guests were awarded certificates to acknowledge their commitment and affection for Aruba, marking milestones of 10, 20, and 35 years of visiting the island.
The tribute, conducted on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, aimed to extend heartfelt thanks – or “Masha Danki” – to visitors who consistently choose Aruba as their preferred vacation spot. The awards are categorized into three levels of recognition:
1. Distinguished Visitor for 10+ years of consecutive visits
2. Goodwill Ambassador for 20+ years of consecutive visits
3. Emerald Ambassador for 35+ years of consecutive visits
The honored guests included Mr. John and Mrs. Lisa Clausen from Boynton Beach, Florida. Mr. Jorgino Willems, representative of the Aruba Tourism Authority, along with staff from Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, formally presented the awards, complemented by thoughtful gifts, as a gesture of appreciation for their ongoing choice to return to Aruba.
The reasons shared by these long-term visitors for their continued patronage highlight the island’s charm: the warmth of Aruba’s people, delightful weather, delectable restaurants, cleanliness, and a sense of safety and security that enhances their experience.
The Aruba Tourism Authority wishes to express its profound gratitude to these honorees for their unwavering loyalty to what is fondly called the “One Happy Island.” Such recognition not only emphasizes the value of tourism on Aruba but also reinforces the island’s commitment to providing memorable experiences, fostering a lasting relationship between visitors and the local community.
