The U.S. Army is reaching out to over 1,400 women who were treated by Dr. Blaine McGraw, a former physician at Tripler Army Medical Center, in light of serious allegations against him. Dr. McGraw served as an intern and resident obstetrician-gynecologist at Tripler from 2019 to 2023. The Army has reported that nearly 90 patients have already reached out to its Criminal Investigation Division, although it remains unclear how many may have experienced misconduct.
In a public statement released on November 21, Tripler Army Medical Center acknowledged the ongoing criminal investigation and assured affected patients that resources are available to support them. Col. William Bimson, the director of TAMC, emphasized that patient health is the top priority and expressed empathy towards those impacted by the situation.
The Army’s Criminal Investigation Division commenced the investigation on October 17, 2025, after receiving concerns regarding Dr. McGraw at Fort Hood. Patients from Tripler are being notified about the investigation and the resources available to them, including contact details for further inquiries and support.
Simultaneously, the Defense Health Agency has stated its commitment to cooperating fully with the investigation while prioritizing the well-being of all affected patients and families. They are actively reviewing clinical protocols and complaint procedures to ensure the safety and security of all individuals within their care.
