ARMY Green is currently leading the standings in the men’s series of the 2025/26 Fiji Bitter 7s Series, holding the top position with an impressive 2147.9 points. As the series approaches its fourth leg in Savusavu next week, excitement is building in the rugby community.

In addition to their series success, Army Green recently emerged victorious at the Wairiki 7s, winning the cup final against Police Blue with a score of 21-5. Their strong performance has solidified their reputation in the tournament.

Following closely behind are the Kasabias Village Boys in second place with 2070.95 points, and Y-Is Kava Vacalea, who holds the third position with 1750.85 points. The competition remains fierce, with Police Blue in fourth place at 1659.1 points and the Pegasus Brothers in fifth with 1629.6 points. Other notable teams include SR Amica, situated in sixth with 1443.05 points, and Wardens Gold in seventh with 1330.1 points. The Loloma Heights team from Urata stands in eighth place with 1315 points, while the Lavena Redz team from Taveuni and the Bula Brothers round out the standings in ninth and tenth places, with 1210 points and 993.05 points, respectively.

As the tournament heads to Ganilau Park in Savusavu, local teams from Vanua Levu are expected to make a strong showing, benefiting from their home turf advantage as they vie for higher rankings in the series. Pita Ralaca, the tournament organizer, highlighted the community’s passion and the crucial support from Fiji Bitter in ensuring that the event remains a premier sporting occasion on the island.
