Armie Hammer is making a major life change, swapping his cherished truck for a compact hybrid as he settles back in Los Angeles to embark on a “new life.” The actor shared his journey on social media with a video from a California CarMax, revealing he has been back in Los Angeles for a few weeks after spending time in the Cayman Islands following his controversial past.
In the video, Hammer reflected on his truck, which he purchased as a Christmas gift for himself in 2017. He expressed his deep affection for the vehicle, recapping memories of family trips and adventures across the country. However, he mentioned the financial burden of maintaining the truck, stating he has spent about $400 or $500 on gas since returning to L.A. and is finding it unaffordable.
Despite the sentimental value of the truck, Hammer is looking forward to the future, emphasizing that he will be trading it in for a car that will require minimal fuel costs.
The “Call Me by Your Name” actor previously stepped away from Hollywood and worked as a timeshare salesman in the Caribbean after facing serious allegations of rape, cannibalism, and sexual misconduct. In a recent interview, he expressed his gratitude for the experiences that led to his career upheaval, stating that they have ultimately brought him to a better place in his life.
