The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has announced that the construction of a temporary bypass road at the Armco Crossing near Semo Village is making significant progress. As of early morning today, FRA confirmed that clearing and grubbing works are almost complete, with the project reaching a 90 percent completion mark.

The temporary route is essential for rerouting traffic affected by a recent road slip at the crossing, which collapsed due to heavy rain, impacting hundreds of commuters. In light of the ongoing works, motorists are encouraged to plan their travel in advance and anticipate potential delays.

The FRA has also urged all drivers to exercise extreme caution when navigating through the area. As construction continues, the authority remains committed to ensuring safety for all road users while facilitating necessary travel adjustments.
