Arizona State Eyes Tyson Return in Boulder Clash with Colorado

Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State’s wide receiver, is anticipated to make his return during Saturday’s game against Colorado. Tyson’s status was closely monitored throughout the week, as he was listed as questionable in all three Big 12 availability reports, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham indicated earlier that Tyson’s recovery was progressing well for his return in Boulder. He emphasized that Tyson’s final playing status would be made a “game-time decision.” The availability report released an hour and a half before kick-off confirmed Tyson’s designation for the game.

Despite being sidelined for three games due to a hamstring injury, Tyson is still ranked among the top players in the Big 12, sitting second in receiving touchdowns with eight and total receptions at 57.

On the defensive side, the Sun Devils will miss defensive back Rodney Bimage Jr., who was ruled out following a stinger injury sustained in last week’s matchup against West Virginia. Additionally, Adama Fall has also been downgraded from “doubtful” to “out” after returning to action against the Mountaineers.

For Colorado, safety Carter Stoutmire, who leads the team with 35 tackles at his position, is listed as doubtful. Meanwhile, linebacker Jeremiah Brown, who ranks second on the team with 61 tackles and has recorded two sacks, is considered questionable for the game.

All players listed on Colorado’s availability report are defensive, with long snapper Camden Dempsey being the only specialist noted as out.

The matchup between Arizona State and Colorado is set to kick off at 6 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN2 or listened to on 98.7 FM and the Arizona Sports app.
