Ariana Grande recently spoke with Variety about her future projects, including the much-anticipated film adaptation of Wicked and her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour, while also addressing the status of her new music. Unfortunately for fans eager for new tunes, Grande indicated that new music won’t be coming out anytime soon. Stating firmly, “No — definitely not. Nothing is coming before May,” she expressed her love for her fans but also playfully questioned whether they think there’s “another version of me out there who had time to write an album?”

Grande’s latest album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in March 2024, followed by a deluxe edition about a year later. Since then, she has been busy promoting Wicked: For Good, which premiered in theaters last November. The pop star later took to Instagram to clarify the comments she made during the interview, noting that she never mentioned specific timelines for new music. She humorously commented about a potential “zoom glitch” and reaffirmed her affection for her fans.

In addition to her music career, Grande is set to star in the upcoming movie, Focker In-Law, scheduled for release in November 2026, along with joining the cast of season 13 of American Horror Story. She will also lend her voice to an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ beloved book, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, alongside Josh Gad. Grande hinted at another exciting project that inspires her deeply but is currently under wraps, stating, “I promise I’ll DM you the day it’s announced.”

Despite the delay in new music, Grande’s diverse range of upcoming projects showcases her versatility and creativity. Fans can look forward to a vibrant year ahead filled with her talents on both the big screen and in various collaborations.
