She revealed that her team had to deplane because of a safety issue with their flight, which subsequently delayed their departure until the following morning. Despite their extensive efforts to find alternative arrangements—including searching for commercial or private flights—nothing was available that would allow her to reach São Paulo on time.
“I am so heartbroken that I’m unable to be there with you all. We sincerely tried everything we could, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart,” Grande stated. She encouraged her fans to show love and support to her castmates in her absence, expressing genuine remorse for not being able to celebrate with them.
Unfortunately, some fans reacted negatively to her absence, prompting Grande to return to Instagram with a plea for understanding on the day of the premiere.
