Ariana Grande has informed her fans that she will be unable to attend the highly anticipated “Wicked: For Good” premiere in São Paulo, Brazil, due to an unfortunate plane issue. With the film set for release on November 21, this premiere scheduled for November 4 was expected to be a significant event, featuring Grande alongside co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram on November 3, Grande expressed her frustration and disappointment about the situation. She revealed that her team had to deplane because of a safety issue with their flight, which subsequently delayed their departure until the following morning. Despite their extensive efforts to find alternative arrangements—including searching for commercial or private flights—nothing was available that would allow her to reach São Paulo on time.

“I am so heartbroken that I’m unable to be there with you all. We sincerely tried everything we could, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart,” Grande stated. She encouraged her fans to show love and support to her castmates in her absence, expressing genuine remorse for not being able to celebrate with them.

Unfortunately, some fans reacted negatively to her absence, prompting Grande to return to Instagram with a plea for understanding on the day of the premiere. She urged her followers not to wish danger upon her or her team, reiterating that every possible option had been considered. She detailed her hectic schedule, which included wrapping up another film, and reinforced her commitment to attending the premiere alongside her colleagues had circumstances permitted.

While Grande’s absence is disappointing, fans can still look forward to multiple premieres of “Wicked: For Good” in the coming weeks, including events in Paris, London, Singapore, and New York City. Additionally, NBC will broadcast “Wicked: One Wonderful Night” on November 6, showcasing musical performances from the all-star cast.

In her Instagram post, Grande also mentioned her recent work on the sequel “Focker-In-Law,” which is set for release next November. Reflecting on her time filming the project, she conveyed her affection for her castmates and the memorable experiences they shared.

Although fans in São Paulo will miss the opportunity to see Grande on the red carpet, her heartfelt messages convey her appreciation and connection to her supporters. As excitement builds for the global release of “Wicked: For Good,” the anticipation continues to grow for the film’s official launch and future celebrations.
