Neon has announced the theatrical release of the highly acclaimed animated sci-fi fantasy film “Arco,” set for January 23, 2026, in New York and Los Angeles, with a broader nationwide rollout following on January 30.
Following its successful one-week Academy-qualifying run in November, “Arco” will premiere at AMC Lincoln Square and the Angelika Film Center in New York City, as well as AMC Century City and AMC Burbank in Los Angeles. The film has gained significant recognition since its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving the Cristal for Best Film at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Additionally, it is nominated for several prestigious awards including Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and the European Film Awards, where it also competes for the European Film and European Young Audience Awards. Recently, the National Board of Review honored it with the Best Animated Feature award, and it has been nominated for the London Film Critics Award in the same category.
“Arco,” directed by promising filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, features a talented voice cast that includes Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Andy Samberg, and Flea. The film tells the story of a 10-year-old boy from a serene future who accidentally finds himself in the troubled year of 2075. Teaming up with a young girl named Iris and her robot caretaker Mikki, Arco embarks on a heartwarming adventure to return home while potentially being the key to saving their planet.
