Players of Arc Raiders may soon see some much-anticipated updates, as developer Embark Studios has indicated that it is actively considering balance changes to address some of the game’s most debated weapons. In a recent message within the official Arc Raiders Discord, a community manager known as Birdie hinted that the next patch should be forthcoming, especially with the development team returning from the holiday break.

Although a specific release date for the upcoming update has not been provided, any news of an imminent patch is welcomed by the player community. Since the December 16 launch of update 1.7.0, known as Cold Snap, fans have been eagerly speculating about the future of the game while voicing concerns directly to Embark. Despite the introduction of The Goalie Raider Deck offering some temporary satisfaction, the absence of a detailed 2026 roadmap has left many players eager for clarity on upcoming changes.

One player recently raised concerns regarding the perceived slow response from the studio, specifically addressing issues related to Stella Montis, cheaters, the skill tree, and Trigger Nades. Birdie acknowledged these points, informing the community that while not every concern could be tackled immediately, the team is committed to making adjustments in a timely manner, including potential nerfs to items like the Trigger Nade.

“The holidays delayed things a bit, but the dev team want you to know that they are looking into balance, for example, the stitcher, kettle, and trigger nade,” the community manager shared. This acknowledgment assures players that the studio values their feedback and is working diligently to enhance the gaming experience, even if immediate changes are not feasible.

As for the exact nature of the nerfs and changes, that remains to be seen, causing some players to express concerns over the possibility of unintended consequences. While the forthcoming Arc Raiders update may not meet all expectations, the fact that balance adjustments are on the horizon is a positive sign for a community eager for improvements.

While the recent news does not replace the much-desired detailed 2026 roadmap, it emphasizes Embark’s commitment to addressing player concerns and enhancing gameplay. In the meantime, fans can continue to engage with each other and speculate about the potential for a future Arc Raiders movie and television series, as well as the absence of traditional PvP mechanics, which has been a topic of discussion within the community.
