Apple Unveils Exciting New Features in Latest Betas: What’s Inside?

Apple has launched the third round of developer betas for its upcoming operating systems: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26. This timely release comes after the second beta, which was made available on June 23, following the initial beta introductions held during the WWDC keynote on June 9.

The new beta versions include:

– iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 3 (build 23A5287g, replacing 23A5276f)
– macOS Tahoe 26 beta 3 (build 25A5306g, replacing 25A5295e)
– watchOS 26 beta 3 (build 23R5307g, replacing 23R5296f)
– visionOS 26 beta 3 (build 23M5290f, replacing 23M5279f)

Notably, there hasn’t been a third developer beta released for tvOS 26 at this time.

This milestone release brings several enhancements. Among the most significant is the introduction of Liquid Glass, a fresh user interface aesthetic characterized by transparency across various operating systems and first-party Apple apps. In iOS 26, users can expect a new battery management system, improvements to the camera app, updates to ChatGPT integration, and enhancements for AirPods features.

For iPadOS 26, improvements have been geared towards enhancing productivity, showcasing a revamped Files app, the introduction of a Preview feature, and significant adjustments to window management. The macOS changes also include essential updates such as the Phone app, Clipboard History, and an overhaul of Spotlight.

In addition to the new features, Apple continues to test updates for its current-generation operating systems, including iOS 18.6 and macOS 15.6.

Apple emphasizes that users should refrain from installing beta software on their primary devices due to potential issues that could result in data loss. It is advised that beta testers utilize secondary devices and maintain regular backups of their essential data. Public users interested in experiencing these upcoming features should wait for the official public beta releases, expected to begin circulating in July.

As always, Apple encourages feedback from developers testing the new builds. Any insights or findings can be shared via Twitter or email.

This proactive approach by Apple signifies its ongoing commitment to enhancing user experience and productivity, while also ensuring users are cautious and informed while experimenting with beta software.
