Apple TV has unveiled a new clip for the highly anticipated second season of The Last Thing He Told Me, starring Jennifer Garner as Hannah Hall. The teaser not only features Garner but also confirms that the season will premiere on Friday, February 20, 2026. The announcement was made via Apple’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), generating excitement among fans.
The second season consists of eight episodes, which will be released weekly, with new episodes airing every Friday until April 10, 2026. Garner, who serves as both lead actress and executive producer, is joined by returning cast members Angourie Rice, David Morse, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. New additions to the ensemble include Judy Greer and Rita Wilson, alongside other notable actors like Augusto Aguilera, Josh Hamilton, and John Noble.
This season draws its narrative from Laura Dave’s sequel novel, The First Time I Saw Him, following her bestselling debut The Last Thing He Told Me. The story continues to unravel the central mystery as Coster-Waldau’s character, Owen, reemerges after a five-year absence, prompting Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey to strive for family reunification before their tumultuous past catches up with them.
The series was co-created by Laura Dave and Josh Singer, both of whom are also executive producers. Garner collaborates with notable figures such as Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter from Hello Sunshine, along with Aaron Zelman, who serves as co-showrunner and executive producer, to bring the story to life.
The Last Thing He Told Me made a significant impact when it was selected as a Reese’s Book Club pick, selling over five million copies and maintaining a position on The New York Times bestseller list for more than 80 weeks. With the first season now available for streaming globally on Apple TV, anticipation is building for the continuation of this gripping tale.
