The ANZ Banking Group is preparing to upgrade its internet and mobile banking services to improve the speed and efficiency of fund transfers to Vodafone’s M-PAiSA digital wallets. Beginning on January 15, 2024, customers will be required to utilize the Transfers tab for transactions made to the M-PAiSA platform through ANZ’s internet banking and the ANZ Pacific app.
Rabih Yazbek, the country head for ANZ Fiji, announced that the existing bill payment option for M-PAiSA transfers will be discontinued as part of this transition. This change is aimed at leveraging the national payment system to enhance customer experiences by enabling quicker transfer processing times.
“This simplified process means M-PAiSA transfers will be processed faster, getting funds into our customers’ wallets,” Yazbek stated. He encouraged M-PAiSA users to become acquainted with the new transfer steps ahead of the implementation date.
Digital banking remains a critical component of ANZ’s strategy to enhance financial accessibility across the Pacific region. The ANZ Pacific app and internet banking are designed to address various geographical and infrastructure challenges, particularly benefitting customers in remote areas. The bank is dedicated to continually assessing and upgrading its services to meet evolving customer needs.
To initiate a transfer, customers need to log in to either their internet banking or ANZ Pacific app, select the Transfers tab, choose local banks, input the recipient’s mobile number or choose a saved recipient, enter the desired amount, and confirm the payment to complete the transaction. This streamlined process is expected to make banking more convenient and accessible for ANZ customers, promoting a seamless banking experience.
