Regional executive for Pacific, Sarah Stubbings, highlighted that Ms. Devi’s appointment showcases the strong talent pool within the bank’s Pacific team. Stubbings added that Ms. Devi’s leadership and values-driven approach will be instrumental in helping ANZ continue its support for communities, promoting financial resilience, and enhancing sustainable growth across the region.
In her new role, Ms. Devi will focus on improving the financial performance of ANZ’s Pacific operations, enhancing regulatory reporting and controls, and facilitating the region’s shift towards digital banking.
A graduate of the University of the South Pacific, Ms. Devi became a CPA Australia member in 2008. She currently presides over the CPA Australia Fiji Representee Committee and has served as chairperson of the Fiji Institute of Bankers. Additionally, she has contributed to committees within the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants, supporting financial governance and the professional growth of the sector.
This appointment not only reinforces the ANZ Group’s commitment to leveraging local expertise but also promises to enhance the bank’s efforts in fostering economic development and community engagement in the Pacific region. With Ms. Devi’s seasoned leadership, ANZ is poised for growth and advancement in the evolving landscape of Pacific banking.
