The Annapolis Mall is excited to welcome families throughout the region to celebrate the holiday season with a series of delightful events, featuring everything from immersive Santa photo experiences to engaging Grinch-themed activities. The shopping center, located at 2002 Annapolis Mall Road, will host events spanning November and December.
At the heart of the holiday festivities is Santapolis, an enchanting photo experience situated near Crate & Barrel. Families can stroll along a winter-themed pathway, complete with festive decorations and interactive elements like a “Letters to Santa” station and North Pole scenes, culminating in Santa’s cozy lodge set for professional photographs. Santapolis will be available from November 7 to December 24, with photo packages starting at $39.99. To minimize wait times, reservations are highly encouraged, though walk-ups will be accommodated as space permits. Guests who book in advance will receive a personalized message from Santa prior to their visit.
Additionally, the mall is offering special Santa photo opportunities for pets on designated Monday evenings: November 24, December 1, and December 8, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. During these times, pets on leashes or in carriers can join their families for memorable photos, with professional packages also starting at $39.99. The Santapolis experience remains open to non-pet guests.
Recognizing the needs of families with children who experience sensory sensitivities, the mall will host a Sensory Santa event on Sunday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This event will feature a calm and quiet environment with lower music levels to create a more relaxed atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ups will be accepted as space allows.
On the same day, families can enjoy Brunch with The Grinch at California Pizza Kitchen from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., where children can meet The Grinch for selfies. Tickets for children are $15 and include a kid’s pizza and beverage, while adults can order from the restaurant’s regular menu. Further, The Grinch will present Storytime at Discoveries: The Library at the Mall later that afternoon, reading “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Throughout the holiday season, Annapolis Mall will also host live performances. From Black Friday through December 18, audiences can enjoy flash mob dance shows, showcasing a variety of styles from ballet to hip hop, presented by Outlet Dance Complex. Local school bands and choirs from Anne Arundel County will perform on selected dates, infusing the mall with festive cheer.
In the spirit of giving, Annapolis Mall has partnered with local charitable organizations to aid families in need this winter. Through November 30, visitors can donate new or gently used coats at designated locations to support the One Warm Coat “Share the Warmth” campaign, with monetary donations accepted online. Those who donate a coat during the Santapolis event will receive $5 off select Santa photo packages. Furthermore, from November 10 through December 15, shoppers can participate in the Salvation Army Angel Trees initiative, which allows them to select gift tags and provide presents for local children and families in need.
The holiday events will occur on various dates and times during normal mall hours, with Santapolis operating from November 7 through December 24. Detailed information regarding special events is available on the mall’s website, ensuring a joyous holiday season for all.
