Amazon has announced new additions to its broadcast team for the NBA on Prime, welcoming Basketball Hall of Famer Swin Cash, former NBA players Rudy Gay and Jim Jackson, and British broadcaster Jaydee Dyer. This development comes just a month before the highly anticipated debut of NBA on Prime.
Swin Cash, who recently served as the Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations and Team Development for the New Orleans Pelicans, will bring her expertise as a front office insider to Amazon’s studio shows. Her extensive broadcasting experience includes time at Turner, CBS Sports, and MSG Network, where she covered the intersection of sports and culture.
Rudy Gay, with 17 seasons in the NBA, will contribute as an intermittent in-studio analyst. Jim Jackson, who played 14 years in the league, will serve as a game analyst. Both Gay and Jackson have been developing successful media careers; Gay co-hosts the podcast “7PM in Brooklyn,” while Jackson hosts “The Jim Jackson Show” podcast and contributes to Fox Sports, Turner Sports, and the L.A. Clippers. Additionally, Jackson will maintain his role covering the NCAA Tournament for Turner.
Jaydee Dyer joins the team as a sideline reporter, reflecting Amazon’s global perspective. Dyer has been a leading presence in the UK’s NBA coverage, notably reporting on Team USA for the Paris Olympics as chief correspondent for TNT Sports UK and anchoring multiple NBA Finals for Sky Sports.
The NBA on Prime lineup also features noteworthy talent, including play-by-play announcers Kevin Harlan, Ian Eagle, Eric Collins, and Michael Grady; game analysts Brent Barry, Dell Curry, Stan Van Gundy, Steve Nash, Candace Parker, and Dwyane Wade; sideline reporters Allie Clifton, Cassidy Hubbarth, and Kristina Pink; and studio host Taylor Rooks. Rotating studio analysts include Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Udonis Haslem, Steve Nash, Candace Parker, Dwyane Wade, and John Wall.
With such an impressive and diverse team, Amazon is setting the stage for an exciting and comprehensive viewing experience for NBA fans worldwide.
