Joe Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, released his solo album, “Music for People Who Believe in Love,” in May and invited Aly & AJ to surprise the audience with a rendition of their 2005 hit “No One.” This performance marked a decade since Joe and AJ had last crossed paths, having unexpectedly reunited backstage at The Kelly Clarkson Show.
AJ shared that the meeting was heartwarming, with Joe meeting her sister Aly’s son, Jack, and spending time with them. Joe later extended an invitation to AJ and Aly to perform with him at The Mint in L.A., expressing that “No One” was his favorite song. AJ expressed delight in the event, noting how fans enjoyed seeing them perform together again and describing the night as a fun and memorable experience.
Reflecting on their past, AJ mentioned that their previous relationship began during the early stages of their music careers, providing a unique bond that has endured over the years. Despite longstanding rumors, Joe was not the inspiration for Aly & AJ’s “Potential Breakup Song,” but rather for another track, “Flattery,” from their “Insomniatic” album. The duo even made a playful TikTok video with Joe, set to the iconic “Potential Breakup Song.”
AJ and Aly are currently on tour supporting their “Silver Deliverer” album, while the Jonas Brothers are also touring, featuring various guest appearances. When asked if they would join the Jonas Brothers on stage, AJ found the idea appealing but noted the logistical challenges due to their concurrent touring schedules.
