Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx have been announced as the All-Star captains for the upcoming 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. This marks Clark’s second selection and Collier’s fifth, with both players earning the opportunity to lead their teams for the first time as captains. They earned their captaincy by receiving the most fan votes, with Clark garnering 1,293,526 votes and Collier following with 1,176,020.
The All-Star matchup is set to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, July 19. The game will be aired across ABC, Disney+, and ESPN+. Preceding the game, the network will feature a special half-hour edition of “WNBA Countdown” starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Currently, Clark is delivering impressive numbers, averaging 18.2 points and a career-high 8.9 assists per game. Meanwhile, Collier leads the league in scoring with a remarkable 24.5 points per game and ranks fourth in rebounding, averaging 8.4 boards. Together, they have been pivotal in their teams’ success, with the Lynx boasting a league-best record of 13-2.
The remaining eight starters for the All-Star Game will be revealed soon, followed by the selection of 12 reserves by league head coaches. Coaches are tasked with picking players without regard to their conference, further promoting inclusivity in the event.
