As grocery prices continue to escalate across the United States, Aldi is stepping in to provide some relief to shoppers this holiday season. The grocery chain is once again slashing prices on the essential ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, making it more affordable for families to gather and celebrate.

A complete Thanksgiving feast for 10 people, including a turkey and the ingredients for nine side dishes, is now available for just $40 at Aldi. This equates to $4 per person, highlighting that this festive meal can be prepared for less than the price of a popular pumpkin spice latte.

Atty McGrath, CEO of Aldi U.S., expressed enthusiasm about the commitment to affordability, stating, “The Aldi commitment to low prices is unwavering, and I am thrilled that we are able to offer an even more affordable holiday meal than last year. Saving our shoppers money is our mission every day—but it is especially important during the holidays when they need it most.” Remarkably, the cost is $7 lower than last year.

The $40 shopping list encompasses 21 items, which include a 14-pound turkey, rolls, and ingredients for popular dishes such as cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato and green bean casseroles, and pumpkin pie. Notably, each ingredient is sold separately and is not part of a bundled meal kit.

Scott Patton, CCO of Aldi U.S., added, “Thanksgiving is the biggest food holiday of the year, and Aldi is proud to lead the industry once again on price. Price leadership is part of our DNA, and the holidays are when our commitment to value really shines. We believe families shouldn’t have to make trade-offs to feed everyone, especially at Thanksgiving.”

For shoppers looking to plan their holiday meals, Aldi has made the process convenient. From now until December 24, customers can build their Thanksgiving feast at local Aldi stores by ordering online for curbside pickup or through grocery delivery services like Instacart, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. Although prices may differ slightly for online orders compared to in-store purchases, Aldi’s efforts to keep holiday feasting budget-friendly are clear and commendable.
