In the Associated Press poll, Alabama surged to No. 10, surpassing Georgia, which fell to No. 12. The Crimson Tide’s prior position was No. 17, while Georgia held the No. 5 spot.
The game, held on Saturday, saw Alabama clinching a hard-fought 24-21 victory over Georgia. This impressive win snapped the Bulldogs’ 33-game home win streak, which had been unbroken since 2019. This victory marks Alabama’s dominance in the rivalry, having won 10 of the last 11 encounters against the Bulldogs.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer continues to have a successful record against Georgia’s Kirby Smart, now standing 2-0 after another win against Georgia, following last season’s triumph in Tuscaloosa.
