The 73-year-old actor was rushed to the emergency room around 4 p.m. Tuesday after experiencing a choking incident at his home. Ahn Sung-ki is celebrated as one of the most prolific actors in Korean cinema, with a remarkable career spanning over six decades and approximately 140 films to his credit. Often referred to as the “Nation’s Actor,” he made his debut in 1957 in the film “The Twilight Train” as a child actor.
