Agatha’s New Chapter: Magic, Mayhem, and Mystery Await!

Agatha Harkness returns in her own spinoff series titled “Agatha All Along,” set after the popular Marvel series “WandaVision.” In this new storyline, Agatha is on a quest to form a new coven as she grapples with the aftermath of her encounter with the Scarlet Witch.

Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness. However, Elizabeth Olsen, who portrayed Wanda Maximoff in “WandaVision,” is not part of the cast for this series. Olsen has embodied the Scarlet Witch since her introduction in the post-credit scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in 2014 and has continued the role in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which occurs after the events of “WandaVision.”

The premise of “Agatha All Along” reveals that a teenager frees Agatha from a “distorted spell” and requests her guidance on a magical journey called the Witches’ Road—a sequence of trials that rewards witches with what they lack. The series focuses on Agatha as she assembles her coven and strives to recover her lost powers. Twitter clips from the upcoming show suggest a confrontation between Agatha and a figure who implies that Wanda has left her trapped in the spell.

The main cast of “Agatha All Along” includes:

– Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness
– Joe Locke as the Teen
– Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale
– Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver
– Maria Dizzia in an undisclosed role
– Paul Adelstein as Sheriff Miller
– Miles Gutierrez-Riley in an undisclosed role
– Okwui Okpokwasili as an undisclosed character
– Debra Jo Rupp reprising her role as Mrs. Hart
– Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu
– Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal

“Agatha All Along” is set to debut on Wednesday, September 18, with two episodes being released simultaneously. The series will be available for streaming exclusively on Disney+, starting at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT.

To catch up on the context leading into “Agatha All Along,” viewers may want to revisit “WandaVision,” which follows Wanda Maximoff and her husband Vision after the events of “Avengers: End Game.” In “WandaVision,” Wanda employs her magic to bring Vision back to life, alters the memories of the residents of Westview, and encounters Agatha, who reveals her true intentions. The iconic theme “Agatha All Along” plays during a montage that unveils Agatha’s deception, leading to a fierce showdown in which Wanda ultimately strips Agatha of her powers and confines her to Westview under the guise of being the neighborhood’s “nosy neighbor.”
