Agatha Harkness Returns: What to Expect in “Agatha All Along”!

Agatha Harkness is making her return in a new spinoff series titled “Agatha All Along,” which follows the events of the popular Marvel series “WandaVision.”

In this new narrative, Agatha, having clashed with the Scarlet Witch in “WandaVision,” is attempting to form a new coven while dealing with the aftermath of a spell. Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness, but Elizabeth Olsen, who portrayed Wanda Maximoff or the Scarlet Witch, will not be part of the cast this time. Olsen has portrayed Wanda since her debut in the post-credit scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in 2014 and returned in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which occurred after “WandaVision.”

“Agatha All Along” begins with a teenager liberating Agatha from a “distorted spell” and encourages her to traverse the Witches’ Road—a series of magical trials that could reward a witch with what they are missing, as detailed on Disney+’s website. The series showcases Agatha’s journey to assemble a coven and reclaim her powers. Previews suggest she encounters challenges following the loss of her abilities to Wanda.

Notable dialogue from the previews includes Aubrey Plaza’s character, Rio Vidal, remarking, “That witch is gone,” indicating Agatha’s struggle after losing her powers.

The cast of “Agatha All Along” includes:

– Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness
– Joe Locke as the Teen
– Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale
– Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver
– Paul Adelstein as Sheriff Miller
– Debra Jo Rupp reprising her role as Mrs. Hart from “WandaVision”
– Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu
– Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal

“Agatha All Along” will premiere on Wednesday, September 18, with the first two episodes available for streaming exclusively on Disney+. The show will be accessible to viewers at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT on its premiere date.

For those who may need a refresher on “WandaVision” before diving into the new series, the original show follows Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they navigate life after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Wanda uses her powers to revive Vision, leading to a complicated situation that draws the attention of Agatha Harkness, who seeks to manipulate Wanda’s trust for her own gain. The climax involves a fierce battle for power, culminating in Wanda trapping Agatha in Westview with a memory-erasing spell that transforms her into a simple neighbor.
