Agatha Harkness returns in her own spinoff series, “Agatha All Along,” set after the popular Marvel show “WandaVision.”
The story follows Agatha as she forms a new coven following her confrontation with the Scarlet Witch in “WandaVision,” where she struggles to lift a binding spell. Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness.
Notably, Elizabeth Olsen, who portrayed Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is not part of the cast for “Agatha All Along.” Olsen has embodied the character since her first appearance in a post-credit scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in 2014 and later in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which occurs after “WandaVision.”
The series kicks off with a teenager freeing Agatha from a “distorted spell” and embarking on a journey down the Witches’ Road, a series of magical trials that offer witches their heart’s desires if they succeed, as described on Disney+’s website. Throughout the show, Agatha assembles a new coven and seeks to reclaim her lost powers.
Promotional previews hint that the audience reconnects with Agatha after her powers have been taken away by Wanda. A line in a preview features Rio Vidal, played by Aubrey Plaza, telling Agatha, “That witch is gone,” implying her current predicament.
The cast of “Agatha All Along” includes:
– Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness
– Joe Locke as the Teen
– Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale
– Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver
– Maria Dizzia, portraying a character whose role has yet to be revealed
– Paul Adelstein as Sheriff Miller
– Miles Gutierrez-Riley, with a currently undisclosed role
– Okwui Okpokwasili, featured in nine episodes with an undisclosed role
– Debra Jo Rupp reprising her role as Mrs. Hart from “WandaVision”

– Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal
“Agatha All Along” is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 18, with two episodes released at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT, exclusively on Disney+.
For those wishing to refresh their memories before the new series, “WandaVision,” which debuted in 2021, follows Wanda Maximoff and her robotic husband, Vision, after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” In “WandaVision,” Wanda uses her powers to resurrect Vision, who had died in “Avengers: Infinity War,” and casts a spell to erase the memories of the residents of Westview. This actions attract Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who manipulates events to gain Wanda’s trust. The series culminates in a battle for Wanda’s powers, ultimately leading to Agatha being trapped in Westview with her memories erased, relegated to the role of “the nosy neighbor.”
Stay tuned for the teaser of “Agatha All Along.”
