Two men, including Samson Nacua, brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, were arrested last month for reportedly taking LA Lakers forward Adou Thiero’s SUV without permission. However, the LA County Sheriff’s Department has now deemed the incident a misunderstanding, according to NBC4 Investigates.

Samson Nacua, 27, and 27-year-old Trey Rose were charged with vehicle theft after deputies located Thiero’s car at the One Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Both athletes own the same model and color SUV, leading to confusion. Investigators revealed that Puka Nacua’s SUV was slightly older than Thiero’s, indicating a plausible mix-up.

The circumstances surrounding why both vehicles were at the same location at the same time remain unclear. Rose indicated to deputies that he was unaware the car had been reported stolen and was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing as more facts emerged.

Following discussions with all parties involved, deputies have asked the LA County Attorney’s office to dismiss the case. Thiero expressed that he did not wish to pursue charges against Samson Nacua, recognizing the situation as an innocent mistake without criminal intent.

This resolution offers a positive outcome for those involved, highlighting the importance of communication and understanding in resolving what could have been a damaging conflict.
