Adele’s Heartfelt Goodbye: What’s Next for the Star?

Adele has announced to her fans that she is preparing to take a significant break from new music and performances. The singer recently concluded her residency shows in Munich, Germany, on August 31, where she shared an emotional message about stepping away for a while.

In footage from her final show posted on social media, the 36-year-old artist expressed her gratitude to fans for their support. “I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f—ing good at it,” she stated. Adele reflected on her three-year performance run, noting it as the longest she has ever undertaken.

While the Munich shows were expected to be her last of the year, she still has five weeks of Las Vegas residency performances scheduled, which were pushed from March to November. During her speech, she added, “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break. I will be reminiscing about these shows and the experiences over the last three years.”

Adele expressed her deep feelings about her residency, stating, “It has been amazing. I just need a rest.” She emphasized the importance of taking time for herself, having spent the last seven years building a new life, which she now wishes to enjoy.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed her emotional side, mentioning her desire to focus on her personal life, including her 11-year-old son, Angelo, and her rumored engagement to Rich Paul. “I will miss you terribly,” she told the audience.

Earlier in July, during an interview with ZDF, Adele had mentioned that she had no immediate plans for new music. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while,” she said.

Adele’s last album, “30,” was released in November 2021, and her residency began in November 2022. Although fans will have to wait for new music, she assured them that she does intend to produce another album in the future. “I just don’t think I’m going to write an album for quite some time,” she explained earlier this year, adding, “But next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live.”
