ACM Honors: Celebrating Country Music’s Brightest Stars and Legends!

The Academy of Country Music has announced the honorees for the Special Awards at the 60th Academy Of Country Music Awards, set to occur during the Academy Of Country Music Honors on August 20 at The Pinnacle at Nashville Yards. This year’s recipients include notable figures such as Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Mac McAnally, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis, the late Ben Vaughn, and Lori Badgett, who will be celebrated during an evening filled with live music and tributes.

Eric Church and Ben Vaughn are both recipients of the prestigious ACM Icon Award, which acknowledges individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth and popularity of country music through various means, from songwriting to philanthropy. Luke Combs will receive the ACM International Award for his efforts in expanding country music’s reach globally.

Jelly Roll is being honored with the ACM Lifting Lives Award, recognizing his devotion to using music to improve lives and support those in need. Cody Johnson will accept the ACM Spirit Award, which celebrates artists who embody the essence of country music and continue the legacy of legendary figures like Merle Haggard through authentic storytelling.

Furthermore, Randy Travis is chosen for the ACM Milestone Award due to his exceptional achievements in country music over the past year. Rissi Palmer will receive the ACM Lift Every Voice Award, highlighting her role in amplifying diverse voices within the genre. Mac McAnally is awarded the ACM Poet’s Award for his significant contributions to country music through songwriting.

The ACM Film Award goes to Twisters, recognizing a film that features country music prominently. Additionally, Lori Badgett of City National Bank is honored with the ACM Service Award for her years of dedication to the Academy.

In addition to the Special Awards, previous ACM winners, such as Lainey Wilson and Jessie Jo Dillon, will also be recognized during the event. Kerri Edwards, the Chair of the ACM Special Awards committee, expressed excitement about celebrating the contributions of this year’s honorees, noting their vital roles in the evolution and success of country music.
