Abigail Disney Makes a Bold Move: Donations Back to Democrats with Biden’s Exit!

Heiress Abigail Disney has announced that she will resume her donations to the Democratic Party now that President Joe Biden has decided not to seek reelection.

Disney, whose grandfather was a co-founder of The Walt Disney Company, had previously stated that she would halt her contributions until Biden was replaced at the top of the ticket.

In an email response to CNBC, she confirmed, “Yes, I will resume supporting,” now that Biden has withdrawn and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor for the presidential race.

When she first declared her intent to stop donating, Disney publicly endorsed Harris, emphasizing the potential for victory if the Democratic Party could unite behind her. “We have an excellent Vice President. If Democrats would tolerate any of her perceived shortcomings even one-tenth as much as they have tolerated Biden’s (and let’s not kid ourselves about where race and gender figure in that inequity), and if Democrats can find a way to stop quibbling and rally around her, we can win this election by a lot,” she remarked.

Disney’s dissatisfaction with Biden grew after his poor performance in a debate against former President Donald Trump, which prompted a backlash from several elite Democratic donors. Reports suggest that the mounting pressure from this donor class contributed to Biden’s decision to step back from the race. Following Biden’s announcement, George Soros and his son, Alex Soros, also expressed their support for Harris.
