YouTube will livestream Coachella’s headline sets and curated programming across two spring weekends in April, the company announced, offering fans a virtual festival experience timed to local zones and enhanced by a new planning app and YouTube Music playlists. The livestream begins Friday, April 10 at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET on Coachella’s official YouTube channel, with weekend two returning on Friday, April 17 at the same hour.

New features aimed at remote viewers include the Coachella Livestream app, available now for Android and iOS. The app syncs livestream schedules to users’ time zones and integrates Google’s Gemini to help viewers discover artists and build a personal viewing lineup. YouTube is also rolling out themed playlists on YouTube Music — Desert Dance, Coachella 2026: Sonora and Coachella 2026: The Lineup — to accompany the livestream and highlight performers across genres.

The festival’s YouTube broadcast will include multiview options that let viewers monitor multiple stages, though YouTube cautioned that “multiview restrictions apply.” Viewers are encouraged to set notifications on the Coachella channel to receive reminders about specific performances. YouTube and YouTube Music will supplement the livestream with behind-the-scenes content on their social channels, tagging @youtube and @youtubemusic.

Sponsorships for the U.S. livestream vary between weekends. Weekend one’s on-air partners include NYX Professional Makeup, T-Mobile, SONIC and 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2; weekend two features NYX Professional Makeup, Tide Evo and Coach. International sponsor placements will also vary, with Coach supporting streams in the U.K. and France, Falabella appearing in Peru and NYX Professional Makeup in Canada.

The announcement positions YouTube as a continued home for major festival livestreams, offering both curated audio through YouTube Music and interactive scheduling via a mobile app. For virtual attendees planning to watch from abroad, the timezone sync and Gemini-powered discovery are likely to be the most practical additions, helping viewers navigate concurrent sets and find emerging acts within the festival’s broad lineup.

To prepare, organizers say viewers should set reminders on Coachella’s YouTube channel and download the Coachella Livestream app to plan their personalized broadcast schedules ahead of the April 10 kickoff. The livestreams will be accessible through the festival’s YouTube page, with additional playlist curation and behind-the-scenes material available via YouTube Music and the platform’s social feeds.
