“7th Heaven Stars Address Past Allegations Ahead of Podcast Rewatch”

Before starting a rewatch of their show on the “Catching Up With The Camdens” podcast, some cast members of “7th Heaven” addressed the serious allegations surrounding former co-star Stephen Collins. Beverley Mitchell, David Gallagher, and Mackenzie Rosman, who played Lucy, Simon, and Ruthie Camden, respectively, felt it necessary to discuss Collins’ “inappropriate sexual conduct” after his confession in 2014.

Mitchell acknowledged the excitement surrounding the rewatch but emphasized the importance of addressing Collins’ actions. Gallagher condemned all forms of sexual abuse, highlighting the need for compassion and support for victims. Rosman noted that while Collins was a significant part of their show and lives, they did not experience any inappropriate behavior from him. She reiterated that they do not condone or excuse his actions and expressed their intention for the podcast to focus on nostalgia and positive memories from “7th Heaven.”

Gallagher concluded by acknowledging the sensitivity of the topic, expressing gratitude for their supportive community, and hoped that fans would continue to join them on their journey.

The cast confirmed that Collins would not be participating in the podcast. In 2014, Collins admitted to sexual misconduct involving three female minors between 1994 and 1997, leading to significant consequences including losing acting jobs and being dropped by his agency. Following his confession, authorities chose not to prosecute him. The allegations came to light through an unauthorized recording of a marriage therapy session that was leaked online. Collins expressed regret for his past actions and stated he has been working to make amends since then.
