50 Cent Reacts to Taylor Swift’s Ruin the Friendship Reference, Teases Possible Collab

50 Cent recently shared his thoughts on being referenced in Taylor Swift’s new song “Ruin the Friendship.” During an interview with “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi, the acclaimed rapper expressed his excitement, noting that Taylor’s reference to his music captures a significant cultural moment. He explained that in the 2000s, when his hits like “In da Club” and “Candy Shop” dominated the charts, his influence in the music scene was profound, adding, “What she was making reference to is the period that no one was more prominent in music at that point.”

In addition to expressing admiration for Taylor, 50 Cent also showed support for her fiancé, Travis Kelce, highlighting his fondness for the Kansas City Chiefs. He acknowledged the couple’s relationship and humorously stated that he would attend their wedding if invited, saying, “I would make my way over there.”

As for a possible music collaboration between him and Taylor Swift, 50 Cent indicated his openness to the idea, noting the need to consult her, acknowledging her significant stature in the industry by saying, “You know how big Taylor Swift is right now? She has to have a record that sounds like it might sound good with 50.”

In the midst of his musical success, 50 Cent continues to expand his media empire, currently managing 40 projects across 12 networks, with ten of them entering production soon. He is also working on two film projects this year. Keeping his creative drive alive, he quipped, “You got to stay doing something new.”

Additionally, 50 is collaborating with Lalique for the launch of their ultra-exclusive 505 Edition Branson Cognac, underscoring the rapper’s ventures beyond music as he describes the product as “very expensive.” His multifaceted career continues to thrive, showcasing his versatility and staying power in the entertainment industry.
