50 Cent continues to dominate the entertainment scene, leveraging his well-known flair for feuds into a new role promoting DoorDash’s Super Bowl campaign, titled “Big Beef.” The commercial was unveiled on February 5 and showcases 50 Cent’s humorous take on his musical rivalries, particularly his ongoing beef with Diddy.
In a statement, 50 Cent expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with DoorDash, stating, “I’ve always been about keeping it real, so when DoorDash approached me about a social campaign around beef, it felt authentic from the start.” He highlighted the brand’s wide array of offerings, aligning the concept effectively with his persona as someone known for navigating disputes with wit and charisma.
The commercial features 50 Cent rifling through his DoorDash delivery bag in a playful manner, pulling out items that serve as subtle jabs at his enemies. Notably, he picks up a bag of Cheese Puffs, stating, “Don’t want to be too obvious,” followed by a humorous discovery of combs at the bottom of the bag. His lighthearted banter serves to further illustrate his unique brand of trolling, resonating with fans who appreciate his irreverent style.
Although the comedic spot will not air during the Super Bowl LVX, DoorDash plans to roll out more engaging content featuring 50 Cent across social media platforms throughout the weekend. Gina Igwe, VP and head of consumer marketing at DoorDash, emphasized the cultural significance of the Super Bowl as a multi-screen event where emotions and competition fuel discussions and playful banter. She noted, “No matter how fans show up this year, DoorDash has the beef.”
As anticipation builds for the big game, fans can look forward to continuing their excitement with DoorDash’s clever marketing and 50 Cent’s signature humor, promising to enhance the Super Bowl experience.
