McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks, following a successful initial launch on June 25. According to a memo from the fast-food chain, the majority of its U.S. locations have opted to continue this promotion, which will be available at approximately 93% of restaurants across the country, although the duration may differ by location, with some franchises extending it until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast-casual dining sector, this meal deal has proven beneficial for McDonald’s. A recent analysis from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai indicated that the introduction of the bundle led to a significant increase in customer visits to McDonald’s outlets.

In response to McDonald’s promotion, other fast-casual dining chains are also rolling out competitive offers. For example, Arby’s has introduced a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Meanwhile, Burger King declared that its own $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle would be available for a longer duration than McDonald’s offer, and it is also expanding its menu with new items under its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined the trend as well, featuring a $3 breakfast bundle and the $5 “Biggie Bag” combo.
