A former cornerback from Clemson, Toriano Pride Jr., made headlines at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis by achieving an impressive 40-yard dash time of 4.32 seconds, the fastest recorded for any position group at this year’s event.

Pride, who transferred to the University of Missouri for his last two college seasons, began his collegiate career at Clemson from 2022 to 2023. During his time with the Tigers, he accumulated 37 tackles—two for loss—nine pass breakups, a sack, an interception, and a safety over the course of 26 games, three of which he started. In his junior year, he notably registered 14 tackles, a tackle for loss, and five pass breakups across 12 games.

After making the move to Missouri ahead of the 2024 season, Pride showcased his skills by participating in all 13 games during his first season with the Tigers, where he made 22 tackles, including two interceptions, six pass defenses, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble. In his senior year, he contributed significantly with 24 tackles—1.5 for loss—two interceptions (one of which was a pick-six), a fumble recovery that he returned for 62 yards, and six pass defenses.

Standing at 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 185 pounds, Pride hails from St. Louis, Missouri, and was recognized as a top-40 national prospect in the 2022 recruiting class by 247Sports.

Looking ahead, the anticipation builds for the 2026 NFL Draft, scheduled to take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, where Pride’s remarkable performance at the combine could significantly bolster his chances of being selected. His journey reflects determination and growth, making him a promising prospect for aspiring NFL teams.
