Year 12 Exam Cheating Drops as Education Ministry Boosts Integrity

The Ministry of Education has reported a total of 29 incidents of cheating and malpractice during Year 12 external examinations between 2022 and 2024. This information was disclosed by Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro in response to a query from Opposition MP Hem Chand regarding the occurrence of such cases over the past three years.

Radrodro highlighted that each reported case was thoroughly investigated by the Ministry and that all issues were successfully resolved. The statistics reveal a positive trend in the integrity of examinations, demonstrating a notable reduction in malpractice cases during this period.

Looking ahead, Minister Radrodro emphasized the commitment to maintaining the credibility of national qualifications. He assured that the Ministry will continue its collaboration with school leaders, examination supervisors, students, parents, and law enforcement to uphold the standards of academic achievement and to reinforce the integrity of the examination system. This proactive approach aims to instill confidence in the educational framework and ensure that students’ accomplishments accurately reflect their hard work and dedication.
