Wolves manager Rob Edwards addressed the media ahead of the upcoming Premier League match against Shrewsbury Town, set to take place at Molineux on Friday. The match is scheduled to kick off at 12:15 GMT.

Edwards shared positive news regarding team news, confirming that Rodrigo Gomes will be included in the matchday squad, while the rest of the players are expected to be fit following their recent performances.

The clash against Shrewsbury holds a personal touch for Edwards, as he revealed that the team’s first coach, Sean Parrish, is his cousin. Discussing this unique relationship, Edwards noted, “It’ll be strange because Sean and I have worked closely together in a number of different roles here and at Telford. It will be weird. He’s probably best not to talk to before and then we can catch up again afterwards.”

The Wolves boss emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum after the team remained unbeaten in their last three matches, suggesting he will not implement any drastic changes for this upcoming fixture.

On potential adjustments to the formation, Edwards indicated that while they might tweak the attacking setup, the defensive shape has shown adaptability, having played both a back three and back four effectively in recent games. He acknowledged that recent personnel changes have drawn attention, though he remains focused on exploiting the strengths of his current squad.

In light of Storm Goretti, Edwards adjusted training times to ensure players arrived safely, commending the ground staff for their efforts in clearing the training pitches.

Additionally, he spoke about Pedro Lima’s promising return, praising the young player’s crossing abilities. “He looks like a really good technical player. Physically he looks good and technically I like him a lot,” he said, expressing optimism for Lima’s development within the squad.

As the Wolves gear up for their match against Shrewsbury, their recent form and tactical flexibility provide a hopeful outlook for continued success on the pitch.
