Having been a vendor near Challengers Plaza at Laucala Beach for six years, Kalougata emphasized that she runs her business in full compliance with regulations established by the Nasinu Town Council.
“I possess a Health License to sell food and an approval letter from the property owner,” she pointed out, underscoring her legitimacy and right to operate in the area. Despite the chaos suggested by the viral image, Kalougata defended the actions of the police officers, stating, “They were just doing their jobs, and in no way was their approach threatening or harassing.”
