Travis Kelce Makes Low-Key Kansas High School Playoff Appearance

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was seen enjoying a quiet evening at a high school football playoff game. The NFL star attended the Kansas high school playoff match between Mill Valley and St. James Academy, sitting discreetly behind the end zone. Television cameras caught him in the audience, and fans quickly shared photos and videos on social media.

Kelce wasn’t alone; he was joined by former Chiefs teammate Blake Bell, who was there to support his nephew playing for St. James Academy. KSHB41 reporter Matt Foster noted that Kelce’s main reason for attending was to back another former teammate, Anthony Sherman. Sherman, who played seven seasons with the Chiefs before retiring in 2021, is currently an assistant coach at St. James Academy.

The connections to the Chiefs didn’t end there; St. James Academy’s running back, Jake House, is the son of the team’s assistant coach, Matt House. It turned out to be a victorious night for Kelce and the crowd, as St. James Academy triumphed over Mill Valley with a score of 45-41, securing their place in the next round of the playoffs.

Though Kelce attended the game without his fiancée, pop star Taylor Swift, she is expected to cheer him on during the Chiefs’ upcoming game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs currently hold a record of 5-4 this season and are looking to improve their standings against the 8-2 Broncos, which could significantly impact the AFC playoff race. Notably, the Chiefs lost their last game against the Buffalo Bills, where Kelce suffered a hit but managed to return for the remainder of the match.

Kelce’s commitment to supporting his former teammates and engaging with local football demonstrates his dedication to both his professional network and the community. As the season unfolds, fans are hopeful for his continued performance on the field and for the Chiefs’ success in the upcoming matches.
