Thanksgiving Grocery Hours in Northeast Ohio: Where to Shop Last-Minute

CLEVELAND — As Thanksgiving approaches, residents of Northeast Ohio can breathe a sigh of relief if they find themselves in need of last-minute grocery items. Several local grocery stores will have limited hours on Thanksgiving Day to assist those who may have forgotten essential ingredients for their holiday meals.

Whole Foods will open its doors from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate last-minute shoppers. Additionally, Dave’s Market and Lucky’s Supermarket will follow a holiday schedule, remaining open until 3 p.m. for those looking to finalize their Thanksgiving preparations.

Giant Eagle and Market District locations also offer extended hours, closing at 3 p.m. to allow customers to grab any overlooked items. Meijer will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., though curbside pickup will be available only from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those who prefer to shop from their vehicles.

Discount Drugmart will also be a convenient option, operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. While most Walgreens stores will remain closed, select 24-hour locations, such as the one in Euclid on Lake Shore Blvd, will be ready to serve customers throughout the holiday.

This support from local grocery stores ensures that families can have the essential ingredients they need, allowing everyone to enjoy a stress-free Thanksgiving dinner with loved ones.
