Tame Impala is poised for an exciting homecoming as Kevin Parker’s acclaimed psychedelic pop project starts the year on a high note, winning a second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording with the track “End of Summer.”
Recently, Tame Impala released an enticing remix of Deadbeat’s single “Dracula,” featuring BLACKPINK member JENNIE, creating waves in the music scene. Adding to the anticipation, there are hints that Tame Impala will embark on an Australia tour to support Deadbeat, marking their first return to the local circuit since 2022.
Frontier Touring, part of the Melbourne-based Mushroom Group, shared a teaser this week that featured a poster with the intriguing phrase “End of Summer,” accompanied by a soundbite from Deadbeat’s latest release. The post also included a cryptic message stating “’ll see you when I see you,” along with a website, endofsummer.au, inviting fans to sign up for updates.
Tame Impala last performed in Australia in 2022 during the tour for their 2020 album The Slow Rush. Initially delayed by the pandemic, that tour was a collaborative effort by Laneway Presents, Chugg Entertainment, and Frontier Touring. Before this, Parker had the opportunity to take the stage in late 2025, performing as the opening DJ for the renowned electronic group Justice.
Since their inception, Tame Impala’s music has consistently resonated with audiences, evidenced by their impressive record—a total of five studio albums have made it to the ARIA top 5 chart, beginning with Innerspeaker and Lonerism, both reaching No. 4. Their last two albums, Currents and The Slow Rush, soared to the No. 1 spot.
Tame Impala’s accolades include 13 ARIA Awards, a BRIT Award, and now two Grammys. Furthermore, Parker’s success is set to continue, as “End of Summer” is nominated for Song of the Year at the 2026 APRA Music Awards.
With the promise of upcoming tours and new music, Tame Impala remains at the forefront of the music industry, thrilling fans while building anticipation for what’s next.
